It's a beautiful day.. We are going home!

We are going home today. Not sure when... Thanks to everyone who followed the blog.. We are so excited we could share information about Mom with you. She is still requesting some time alone to heal.. She is even trying to get rid of me so she can sleep. She said you can call her phone and leave her a message if you like! She will check them when she is feeling better. Thanks so much for your patience while she heals. She sends her love to all.

Scattered Posts

Sorry the posts are so sporadic... She has great moments and not so great moments. She had a little adventure today and was given medication to help with here fluid levels today. Just so you don't forget how to laugh yourself..

I thought I would share a little tidbit with you.

Dad was at the hospital today with Mom and they were out walking in the halls to make the fluid levels and everything start to work better. Well apparently they were out walking their little oxygen tank (which looks like a green dog on a leash) they realized after the trip... that there was no oxygen in the tank...
So... guess that means she doesn't need the oxygen anymore.

She is hoping to go home tomorrow, but we will know more tomorrow.
Thanks for all your prayers and healing thoughts.

A room with a view..

Things are ever changing up here on the 7th floor. She had two more tubes removed today.. the are nicknamed jumper cables. She told me she was feeling so much better, but requests no visitors. She is focused on healing. Thanks for all the healing thoughts. She says that she can't remember feeling this good. Amazing what blood to all the body parts can do!

Nurse Michelle

I have spent the last 6 days documenting every little thing that has happened.. Craig snapped this shot.

WooHoo... Thanks so much for appreciating her wishes while she heals. Thanks for all the healing thoughts.. I will post another picture of her when I get back up there.

Wow... and the adventure continues

Mom got a sleeping pill last night around 2:00am, and it took till about 10:00am today for it to wear off enough to chat with me. She got a great nights sleep.
She is still requesting NO visitors. She says thanks to all who are sending their loving thoughts and prayers. Sorry no pictures ... too tired to take pictures.
Time for a mini nap. I will update you a little more later. : )

Dawn comes so early

Dawning on Day 5... Feeling much better last night after correcting medication. Lots of interruptions in the night... Need more time to sleep... Going back to sleep.. Looking forward to another hour at least. Getting better everyday. I will let you know about visitor status when we both wake up.. Toodalo for now.

8 o'clock and things are getting better.

Wow what a wild day.. Made some modifications to her pain meds and the didn't work so well... Finally got them modified and things are better. We will try again tomorrow. Hoping for a good nights rest..and a fantastic tomorrow.. She is a little more agile today.. Hoping she will be able to do a jig on Monday.

Finally got her shower!

After the nap she got a shower and all new bandages... Off to x-ray for some pretty pictures. I will find out if she is ready to have visitors.

Out for a stroll!

Mom was out for a slow stroll this morning with Meagan and Kristen. She is doing well.. She ate all of her breakfast and decided to go back to bed. Hoping for the shower soon. Sorry this post is so slow. Just went down to breakfast.

Dawn is breaking on Day 4 and it's going to be a great day!

Natural light is coming in the window and oh what a day it is going to be. She is going to get a shower and her oxygen removed today. She is hungry and wishing for a donut. Don't get any ideas she can't have donuts quite yet. I will let you know when she will accept visitors.. Probably after her shower today. She is limited to two guests at a time. If you come you will need to put a beautiful yellow paper gown. Please make sure to sanitize your hands coming in and leaving. She walked unassisted to the bathroom this morning while I did the happy dance. She has several family members that haven't seen her yet so hopefully we can get them in first. Thanks for your prayers....they are working beautifully.

They (not sure who is they) will be coming around 5 to check her fluid and hopefully take out more tubes. She be walking in morning all the way from her bed to the door. Woohoo.
